LESSONS

Although our equipment looks like torture devices, do not be fooled!  All apparatuses are users friendly and will make you feel aligned and supported at all times!

The Pilates Method is traditionally performed in one-on-one training sessions.  In this way, instructors are best able to tailor the material and the focus of the sessions to the individual needs of each student's body

What should you expect from your Pilates workout?

First you should expect to learn a series of ordered exercises that work the entire body from top to bottom.  Plan to work rigorously, with no impact to the joints.  Prepare the strengthen and stretch every exercise, rotating positions from lying to sitting to kneeling.  Ready yourself to activate your mind as you exercise, developing and increasing your awareness of your body.

When practiced regularly, Pilates helps developed lean toned muscles, strength and flexibility.  Focusing on the core of the body creates incredible abdominal strength, improved posture, and better balance.  As with all fitness regimens, The Pilates Method reduces stress, but because the movements are highly controlled and specific and are performed in small repetitions, the sessions become uniquely energizing, long after they end.

Each lesson is one-on-one and approximately an hour long.  You should wear comfortable clothes and no shoes.  We also have a changing area.  Parking is not allowed on West Essex from 8am to 4pm on school days.  Please feel free to use the driveway. 

​

The number of times a week you should do Pilates depends on the individual.  On Average ,for best results, clients should have two to three private lessons a week. ​
